Information we collect
When you get a quote or tap Hold my spot, our booking form asks for details we need to plan and confirm your move:
- Your name and phone number
- Your email address, when you choose to give it (it is optional for some services)
- Your move addresses or ZIP codes
- Your requested move date
- Move details, such as the type and size of the home, stairs or elevator access, items, services you choose, how far along you are in planning, and any notes you add
If you call, text, chat, or email us, we keep the details you share so we can help you. Like most websites, our site and hosting provider also receive basic technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit.
How we use your information
- To prepare your estimate, hold your requested date, and contact you to confirm your booking
- To schedule and carry out your move, and to let you track it with your confirmation code
- To answer your questions and handle changes, cancellations, or claims
- To measure how well our website and ads work, as described below
Where your booking information is stored
When you submit the booking form, your information is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a database service provided by Google, so we can process and manage your booking. Our team uses that information to follow up with you about your move.
Advertising measurement and cookies
We use the Google tag on our website, including Google Ads and Google Analytics, to understand how people find and use our site and whether our ads lead to bookings. The Google tag uses cookies and similar technologies for this measurement.
When you submit a booking, the Google tag sends your email address and phone number (when you gave them) to Google Ads in hashed form. Hashing turns them into a scrambled code before they are sent. Google uses this to match the booking to an ad click ("enhanced conversions"), which helps us measure our ads. We do not send your name, addresses, or move details to Google Ads for this purpose.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run our business (such as Google for booking storage and ad measurement, and our website host), when needed to complete your move, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking information for as long as we need it to provide our services, keep business records, and handle any questions or claims about your move. After that, we delete it or keep it only as required by law.
Your choices: access and deletion
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Call us at (816) 307-9891 or email contact@yourlocalmoverz.com. We may need to confirm your identity (for example, with your booking confirmation code or the phone number you booked with) before we act on the request. We may keep some information if we need it for an active booking or to meet legal obligations.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
