Full-service vs. labor-only
Full-service with our truck is the easiest setup — one team loads, drives, and unloads. Labor-only works when you already have a U-Haul, PODS, trailer, or borrowed truck and just need help with the heavy lifting. Either way, the crew is ours.

Full-service move vs. labor-only
Not every move needs a truck from us. If you already have your own, labor-only can save you money while you still get a properly packed truck and pro lifting.
Book crew + truck when you want one team for load, drive, and unload — especially for bigger homes, tight schedules, or anyone who just wants less to think about on move day.
Book loading when you have a rental or pod and want it packed tight. A good load means less shifting on the road, and sometimes a smaller rental than you expected.
Book unloading when you're pulling up to the new place after a long drive and want everything inside fast.
Before we arrive
- 1 Pack and label boxes by room. Clear labels get every box to the right room at the new place.
- 2 Disassemble what you can ahead of time. Remove bed frames, detach table legs, and bag the hardware in labeled zip-locks so nothing gets lost.
- 3 Clear pathways and doorways. Move rugs, shoes, and clutter out of hallways so the crew can move safely and not slow down.
- 4 Set aside valuables and essentials. Keep jewelry, medications, important paperwork, and an overnight bag with you — not on the truck.
- 5 Reserve parking and the elevator. In a building? Book the dock or freight elevator ahead of time so we're not stuck waiting.
- 6 Double-check your booking the day before. Date, time, addresses, and special items. We send reminders, but it never hurts to be ready.

Yes. Everyone who shows up works for us. We don't hand jobs off to subcontractors or other moving companies—same crew, same training, every job.
How do I book with Your Local Moverz?
Pick truck plus crew or labor only, add your details and time, then review your quote. Most people finish in under two minutes. After you confirm, we lock in one of our crews and send you a confirmation code.
What is the difference between loading and unloading?
Loading is at your starting address—we pack your rental, trailer, or pod. Unloading is at the new place—we carry everything inside. You can book either one or both.
How much does a typical move cost?
Labor-only jobs usually run $150 to $350 for two movers over a couple of hours. Moves that include our truck typically land between $350 and $900 depending on size, stairs, and drive time. Run the calculator for your exact number.
Do you bring dollies, blankets, and straps?
Yep. We show up with blankets, dollies, hand trucks, straps, and floor protection as standard. Truck jobs include everything we need for the vehicle; labor-only jobs still come with tools and padding for your rental or pod.
Can I get same-day or next-day help?
Often, yes—depends on your area and what's open on the schedule. Book online or call us to see what's available today.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our crews carry general liability and workers comp. Every booking includes basic protection at $0.60 per pound per item, and you can add full-value coverage when you book.
What happens if something gets damaged?
Every move includes basic valuation coverage. If something gets damaged, just reach out within 48 hours and we will start a claim. With full-value protection you get repair, replacement, or cash settlement at the item’s current market value.
How far in advance should I book?
5 to 7 days ahead is usually safe for your preferred date and time, especially in peak season (May through September) and on month-end weekends. That said, we regularly fit in same-day and next-day jobs when the crew has space.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel at no charge up to 48 hours before your move. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 2-hour minimum charge. Just call or email us to make a change.
Do I need to be home during the move?
It helps if you're there—or someone you trust—to point out rooms, answer questions, and sign off when we're done. Especially on labor-only jobs.
